The Cape May County Zoo Society’s annual fundraiser is set to celebrate the Year of the Snake with a Chinese Lunar New Year party starting at 6 pm Saturday, January 26th at the Princeton Bar & Grill, 2008 Dune Drive, Avalon, NJ.The event will raise funds for the Cape May Zoo, the non-profit’s 2013 fundraising campaign tosupport these initiatives:
•An expanded, modern habitat for our snow leopards
•Animal Health & Nutrition Fund: food, veterinary care and behavioral enrichment activities for
the overall well-being and quality of life.
•Eastern Tiger Salamander Conservation: Now found almost exclusively in Cape May County,these endangered salamanders are disappearing. To boost their population the zoo and stateDEP will work together to collect, raise and repopulate them back to the wild.
Cape May County Zoological Society/ZooFriends is a 501(c)3 non-profit solely devoted to the continuing improvement of the Cape May County Zoo for our visitors, staff and – most of all –the living creatures in our care.This year celebration will include some new Asian appetizers, entertainment for the evening along with dancing, raffles and gift baskets, and cash bar. The cost is $40 per person at the door(advance purchase online $30).
