Enjoy 'Spellbound at the Physick Estate' in Oct.


CAPE MAY – What is really going on in this house? Rumors have been spreading like wildfire but the townspeople are too afraid to investigate. Take care as you enter Cape May's "original" haunted house, the 1879 Emlen Physick Estate, during the new entertainment "Spellbound at the Physick Estate," part of Halloween Happenings sponsored by the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities (MAC). Has this family been practicing black magic? Find out for yourself as you visit with them and see the Physick Estate mansion decked out for Halloween. Or maybe it always looks like this ... Admission is $18. The tour is wheelchair accessible with advance notice.


Fri., Oct. 12 at 8:30 p.m.; Fridays, Oct. 19-26 at 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.; Wednesdays Oct. 17 and 24 at 8 p.m. and Wed. Oct. 31 at 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. opt to take the new "Halloween Tour of the Judson Bennett House" as well. A visit to the Judson Bennett House at 835 Washington St., decked out to the extreme for Halloween, is sure to thrill and chill those who love this creepy season. Tours of the grounds and first floor are offered at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Fridays, Oct. 12-26, Sat., Oct. 20 and Wednesdays, Oct. 17 and 24. Admission is $10. Save ($2) on a combination with Spellbound at the Physick Estate.
