What is a Food Tour?

Cape May Food Tour is a 2.5 to 3 hour guided food tasting and cultural walking tour of Cape May, New Jersey. Our journey will take us to award winning Cape May restaurants, mouthwatering eateries, and a distinctive specialty food store for samples of their delicious dishes and bites. We'll discover the people behind these renowned establishments, their passion for food as well as their connection to local Cape May foods. As we stroll through the lush vibrant streets of Cape May with our tour guide, modern day and historical stories will unfold along with a closer look at those elaborate Cape May cottages.

The samplings on the tour have been carefully selected to represent a unique Cape May experience. Many of our area chefs and bakers on the tour have put their talents to work for years to evolve their recipes into the fabulous blend of the grand finale version you taste today. These chefs and bakers use only high quality ingredients, many of which are locally sourced right here in Cape May. Our tour includes chefs who are leaders in the Slow Food Movement which embraces the ideals of food that is: good for you, good for the workers who produce the food, and good for the environment by using local sources. The chefs and bakers on the tour are the people whose talent and hard work have helped to build this city's reputation for top-notch cuisine in the finest of settings.
