Officials are predicting much more serious flooding over the next 24 to 36 hours.  Looking more like an ocean, waves from Delaware Bay pound Lewes Beach early Monday morning.

The banks of the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal overflow along Pilottown Road in Lewes during Monday morning's high tide.

The winds shifted around to the north northwest at the time of high tide Monday morning helping to hold down the first high tide, bad enough as it is any way. The winds blew lots of debris up on the public beach at Lewes including a set of dune stairs and a wayward Sunfish sailboat.
