Looking for Something to Do in Cape May? Last
week end we checked out the Cape May Brewing Company and took a tour and tasted
some of the local brews. The Brewery was packed with Labor Day travelers and we
had a great time. Here’s what you can expect when you come hang out, a small
brewery and tour, 4-4 ounce tastings of the great beer. They have a food tent set up back and the best
thing is that you can bring you well behaved “leashed” pooch along to check out
the beer and food. They also have a great selection of Cape May Brewing Company
t-shirts, hats and other gear, or you
can purchase one half gallon growlers to go. We especially enjoyed the Centennial IPA which has become
the First Award Winning Beer from the Cape May Brewery.
The Beer Boys Cape May Brewing Company |
Last March at our first beer festival, we won first place for best India Pale Ale (IPA) for our Centennial IPA. It was our first award for us and we were just floored. There were 19 other beers from very large and well-established microbreweries from all over the country and the judges chose us in a blind taste test. It was the kind of thing that just gives you butterflies.
We are a
small team of three: Bob, Chris & Ryan. We all recognize that Cape May is a
very special place and offers something very unique.
The Beer Boys Ryan, Chris and Bob |

been deeply inspired by craft beer. So much so that he decided to start a
brewery. He holds a bachelor degree from Villanova University and a master's
degree from NYU.
Chris Henke: has been home brewing for several years and
always searches for a local beer where ever he visits. He earned a
bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from Villanova University.
Bob Krill: has been drinking beer for 65 years and
finally decided to make some. He has a bachelor degree in Psychology from the
University of Pennsylvania.
